[mule-cgreek:00825] CGreek and WinGreek

Hi,

Can I make a plea for the retention of the option to import/export/convert in
WinGreek format? I see in the manual that you're looking for further
clarification about that format but likely to discard it in the future.

There is no WinGreek format as such beyond the codepoints for
WinGreek-compatible fonts. There are a variety of packages(whether TSR Windows
programs, including the original WinGreek, or Word macros) that turn a series
of keystrokes into those single units. So, a Word (or StarOffice) document
saved as a plain ASCII text file is relatively easily imported and converted
into CGreek, although it requires a certain amount of tidying up. At least,
that's how I've done it. Given the variety of both Windows wordprocessing
packages and WinGreek fonts, it would probably be unwise to attempt anything
more comprehensive as a filter.

I guess there won't be that many people converting from MS Word to Emacs, but
perhaps you should keep the door open?

Anyway, thanks for a great package.

Isabel
