[mule-cgreek:00827] Re: CGreek and WinGreek

Dear Ruffel,

I have read your mail in the mailing list for cgreek. Thank you so much for
your request.

One of the reasons I began to develop the cgreek environment by contacting N.
Takahashi the conputer engeneer was that I found WinGreek as I stayed in Munich,
Germany. But, because of some problems concerning the comatibility of Greek
and Japanese, WinGreek is not widely used in Japan though there are so many
scholars who are engaged to Greek.

It is why Takahashi and I have doubted whether the conversion routine from
WinGreek is necessary.

But, as you have informed us the necessity of the routine, we retain it some-
how even in the future version.

By the way, Dr.Robin Smith --- the author of the commentary of Aristotle's
Topica from Clarendon Press --- is now developping the new routine to handle
TLG CD-ROM in the cgreek environment.
