Actually, I've deleted this line (as you say, tlgd should only be
running when needed)

The message appears because I wanted some reply from interactive use
of tlg-start-tlgd and tlg-stop-tlgd. Since I've now put starting/stopping
tlgd at the beginning/end of tlg-open-single-work, tlg-find-idt-file, and
(just in case I need it someday0 tlg-read-authtab, tlgd should always
be killed off after being started by any tlg-util functions, so the messages
would only appear after interactive starts or stops.
Has anyone had any success at all making it work with Meadow?
