[cgreek:00319] TLG index utilities

Robin,

many thanks for the revised tlgindex utilities: I have got them up and
running on Debian Linux in about half an hour; one problem with the
installation: first I did something wrong, discovered my mistake and
then tried to re-install -- no luck. Only after removing the tlg
directory from cgreek21 and going through the installation afresh did
things work -- worth a note in your installation instructions?

I've only done a couple of word searches so far, to check
funtionality, so I can't comment on the usefulness of the tools, but I
suspect it's going to be a gain to be able to look up forms without
starting Diogenes and a browser to do word searches (which is still
relatively slow although I have a relatively fast computer).

Anyway thanks for your work and let's see how things go. Having now
got used to using emacs21 and cgreek wih Debian Linux, I wonder
whether we shouldn't sing the praises of these utilities more for
classicists; it all works very nicely now (using emacs-mule as buffer
encoding for a file with Greek text). The only weakness I'm aware of
is the inability of cgreek21 to print properly (for me anyway).

Best wishes,

Bill Furley (Heidelberg)
